our history & impact

Suttle Freeman, LLC was founded in 2014 with an initial focus on fostering teacher capacity in the areas of science and math.  In our early years, we witnessed firsthand at campuses ranging from McGowen ES (Houston ISD) to Yellowstone Schools (Houston, TX) how our unique approach of working in partnership with campus leaders to tailor coaching to the distinct needs of each campus, community, and classroom could produce dramatic gains in student achievement.

In the years that have followed, we have grown dramatically in both our geographic footprint across Houston-area districts and the scope of support provided to schools.

  •  We have built a comprehensive cadre of expert instructional leaders across all content areas with proven impact in teacher development and student achievement, and successfully deployed them in HISD elementary, middle, and high school campuses.

  • We have also employed a group of transformational educational leaders with demonstrated records in both the district and charter sectors to deliver tailored leadership development training to individuals and teams across multiple divisions of the district.

  • We launched a scalable one-on-one and small-group tutoring service that would complement and supplement high-quality Tier I instruction in schools, and have embedded these tutoring services into their academic models.

  • We have worked hand-in-hand with campus and district-level curricular teams to refine their approach to content delivery and ensure optimal levels of student mastery.
